Accounts Assistant (Fixed term - 6 Months)


Your Job

Due to restructuring of the finance function, an opportunity has become available for a full time Accounts Assistant, initially based on a fixed term 6 month contract.  This busy finance department is responsible for producing the accounts for three UK entities and the Accounts Assistant will be responsible for the transactional aspects of these companies.  Based in a consultancy organisation near High Wycombe the role will report to the Financial Controller
 

The main responsibilities of this position include:

  •  Sales LedgerCoding and input of sales ledger invoices, Credit control, Assisting with producing sales invoices

  • Purchase Ledger: Coding and input of purchase ledger invoices, Supplier payments, Supplier statement reconciliations, Processing employee expenses &   Credit card reconciliation and input

  • Banking: Input of transactions &  Bank reconciliations 

  •  Other Duties Will IncludeGathering of data and inputting to our time management system,” OpenAir”.

Your Profile

  • Experience of working in an Accounts team
  • Knowledge of financial systems and accounting
  • Good English writing and communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft and Excel skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Financial qualification (AAT or similar) or qualified by experience
  • Highly organised, diligent and meticulous approach
  • Good eye for detail and effective processes, balanced with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of the business.
